WALT’s Technology
WALT runs under Microsoft Windows 7 and higher. Microsoft Windows applications including Excel®, Word®, Outlook®, Adobe® Reader®, image viewers and editors are used. This allows the MGA Source server product to store many types of documents and allow the viewing, editing and exporting of information to the Microsoft Windows environment.
WALT has a fully integrated document imaging and workflow system. There is no need to purchase or maintain a separate vendor system. Not only is it integrated, imaging is built into every process in WALT so when you are working on an account you have both the policy record and the documented policy history at your fingertips.
Your image file is more than the scanned paper or emails and faxes attached to the policy – the policy document history contains a record of every note, memo, policy document issued and external document attached to the file. Your electronic policy file is more complete than a paper file, more organized than the most neurotic underwriter.
Take control of the thousands of emails that arrive in your mail server daily. If you choose, you can route emails through the electronic workflow within MGA. Service requests can be handled by a group on a first in basis. Managers can monitor the workflow and backlogs and adjust staffing as needed. All routed documents have an electronic tracking record that can be reviewed in the policy or from the inbox.
Not all work originates from an external request or image file. MGA allows a user to create a policy specific task and assign it to the user or group responsible for the next step in the workflow. Supporting documents and notes are attached to a task to facilitate clear instructive communications. Each office has complete autonomy on how to build their task workflows.
